Lionize’s awesome new video for the track “Dr. Livingston” is now available for your viewing pleasure:

“Washington, DC quartet LIONIZE recently completed work on a video for their song “Dr. Livingston”. The song is taken from the band’s latest releaseSuperczar and the Vulture. The video was directed by Agent Ogden (Clutch, Primus) and features guest appearances from Jess Margera of CKY, Pietasters, H.R. of Bad Brains and the crew from the 9:30 Club.

The band commented on the video:

“We are looking forward to sharing our second music video ever for Dr. Livingston from the Superczar album. We felt honored to have our friends HR, Jess Margera, the 930 staff and the pie tasters take part in this. We hope everyone enjoys it as much as we enjoyed making it.”

The Sword will appear Monday, September 3rd at 9 PM ET/PT on Travel Channel’s highly rated show Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations-The Final Tour. The show was shot in March in Austin, Texas at the SXSW music festival. In the episode, the band takes the opportunity to introduce Bourdain to their branded hot sauce “Tears of Fire.” Check out a clip from the show below:

In other news: Apocryphon, the band’s fourth album and first for new label Razor & Tie will be released October 22nd and followed by a U.S tour. Apocryphon was produced and engineered by J. Robbins (Clutch, Jawbox) and recorded at Magpie Cage Studios in Baltimore, MD. The album will feature cover art by famed comic book artist J.H. Williams III (Batwoman, Promethea). Pre-order details will be coming very shortly so stay tuned!
