UPDATE:

Celebrating the October 22nd release of their fourth album Apocryphon, The Sword today announce a 37 date U.S. tour commencing October 29th in Corpus Christi, Texas and running through December 18th. Gypsyhawk will be support on the entire tour while Eagle Claw will appear through November 24th and American Sharks will appear December 2nd through December 18th.

The Sword will appear Monday, September 3rd at 9 PM ET/PT on Travel Channel’s highly rated show Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations-The Final Tour. The show was shot in March in Austin, Texas at the SXSW music festival. In the episode, the band takes the opportunity to introduce Bourdain to their branded hot sauce “Tears of Fire.” Check out a clip from the show below:

In other news: Apocryphon, the band’s fourth album and first for new label Razor & Tie will be released October 22nd and followed by a U.S tour. Apocryphon was produced and engineered by J. Robbins (Clutch, Jawbox) and recorded at Magpie Cage Studios in Baltimore, MD. The album will feature cover art by famed comic book artist J.H. Williams III (Batwoman, Promethea). Pre-order details will be coming very shortly so stay tuned!
