In other news, The new acclaimed album release by Greek melodic Metallers Firewind, “Days Of Defiance”, continues to do extremely well all over the globe and consequently the band’s mastermind and guitarist Gus G. has appeared on the frontcover of several relevant print magazines like Burrn!, Guitar World, Young Guitar, Rock Hard Greece and many more in these past weeks. Firewind have recently supported The Scorpions in their Greek home and also just finished a short run of North American headlining shows to promote the release of “Days Of Defiance”. Their new album has entered the official sales charts in Greece on position # 24 and remained at # 29 for the second and third week of its release. In North America Firewind entered the “Billboard Heatseekers chart” at position #36.

Gus G. has also recently hosted this week’s edition of MTV2′s Headbangers Ball in the US, where he didn’t only reveal the story of his start in metal all the way to playing arenas alongside metal’s most infamous madman, Ozzy Osbourne, but he also showcased video clips of his biggest influences such as Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Ozzy and many more!
